Corey Childs

CPDT-KA, EATM

 

Corey is the co-owner of Pet Logic Animal Training. He began his training career working with shelter dogs in Chattanooga. Doing training, assessments, behavioral modification, & husbandry; he helped them to get (& keep) forever homes!

 

After an internship with Chattanooga Zoo, his passion for training & animal care took him to Moorpark College where he obtained a degree in Exotic Animal Training & Management (EATM). He is a certified professional dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT); and recently worked for many years as both the Animal Care Lead and Adoption Lead at the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), a non-profit animal shelter in WA.

 

Corey has trained & cared for a large variety of animals including: dogs, cats, parrots, cougars, foxes, coyotes, falcons, parrots, turacos, beavers, monkeys, donkeys, rats, dogs, cats, gerbils, ferrets, & many more!​

Having worked with animal shelters in multiple states, he has a passion for adoption & rescue.

Rachel Childs

BS-Bio, EATM

 

Rachel is the co-owner of Pet Logic Animal Training. Her passion for animals began with her finches. After the eggs where laid & hatched, her love of birds only grew along with those tiny hand raised chicks. She would go on to adopt & raise a variety of birds, cats, dogs & small mammals. 

 

Her passion for animal care eventually led her to Moorpark College. As a graduate of the Exotic Animal Training & Management (EATM) program, she has trained & cared for a variety of animals including: ravens, parrots, emus, cougars, raccoons, monkeys, turacos, foxes, beavers, horses, rats, dogs, cats, gerbils, & many more!

Rachel has a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in linguistics, as well as her EATM degree.

 

Having worked at zoos in Santa Ana, Indianapolis, & Seattle; she brings with her a vast knowledge of animal care.
